Privacy Policy

The main aim of introducing a privacy policy is to strengthen your position when it comes to the handling of data relating to yourself.

Any manual therapist collects, stores, processes and uses personal data. I will keep a record of your name, address, and email address, as well as your treatment notes. I also have a record of any financial transactions between us, although I do NOT keep a record of your credit card details.

I might have a record of your sex and/or gender identity. If I write to you, I’ll probably address the envelope to “Mr” or “Ms” unless you’ve specifically indicated a different preference. If you would like this record to be modified, please let me know.

The company I use for online bookings, note keeping, and invoices is called Cliniko. They do their utmost to keep your data safe, and you are more than welcome to review their privacy policy.

Anything I hold locally is on password-protected computers, and out of hours the building is secured by locked doors.

I will keep your information unless you request me to erase it. Sometimes there is a legal responsibility for me to hold it, and in that case I will let you know.

I keep communications to a minimum, and will not be sending marketing emails. However, my booking system will send a confirmation email at the time you make your booking, and a reminder email shortly before your appointment. If you do not want to receive these communications, you can always opt out.

The most important thing: If you have any queries or concerns about how I handle your personal information, please contact me.
